Murterski Kanal, at its narrowest point, the Murterski tjesnac; Tisno is
situated on the island side as well as on the adjacent mainland coast, with a
bridge over the Murter Strait, 29 km northwest of Sibenik. It lies on a road
connecting the Adriatic Highway with the island of Murter.
The Murter Strait is 38 meters wide. The sea
current reaches a speed of 4 knots. The bridge, which replaced the old,
unsatisfactory, is a modern design. It opens for cruises every day from 9.00 am
to 30 minutes and from 17.00 hours also for 30 minutes.
In the surroundings of Tisno, growing olive trees,
vines and vegetables is best. Fisheries also play an important role.

families with approximately 350 inhabitants. The church was built in the 15th
century and was probably dedicated to Sts. Francis of Assisi, because the
Franciscan monastery was located in a nearby settlement on the island of
Sustipanac. The remains of the Roman settlement of Colentum, such as the ruins
of Roman summer houses, frescoes and mosaics scattered on the ground and in the
sea, are between Betina and Murter.
Since 2015, the Shipbuilding Museum has been
operating on site. Every summer a folklore festival takes place in the square.

On the coast there is a harbor and marina, the hill of st. Nikola and also the local beach Zamalin. The Tribunj also includes the village of Sovlje with its own beach. The city was first mentioned in 1463 under the name Tribohunj. Due to its strategic position, Tribunj was often attacked by the Turks, and the medieval fortress of Jurjevgrad was built on the hill of St. Nicholas. The word Tribunj, translated from Old Slavic, means "the place to sacrifice". Tribunj was officially established on August 28, 2006, by separation from Vodice. The new, modern church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary dates back to the late 19th century. Over the years, it has been rebuilt several times and was destroyed twice during World War II and during the Civil War. The present appearance of the Church of Our Lady of Carmel is the work of the architect Nikola Bašić. The church stands on the hill Okit and attracts tourists already when viewed from Tribunj from the sea. On this hill, the first church was built in the 17th century on the site of the original chapel. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Way of the Cross with 14 chapels was built to the top of the hill.
Every August, traditional donkey races are held here, which are one of the great tourist attractions of the area. Various events such as the Tribunj Games are hosted throughout the year. For visitors, it is one of the most cheerful and fun events on the Adriatic. Throughout the race, many comic situations occur, stubborn and almost unmanageable donkeys, with their indiscipline, create a lot of funny situations to entertain viewers. Donkeys often engage in all possible but not endeavor to reach the goal and win.

Fortress of St. Nicholas
The Venetians built a fortress of st. Nicholas to block naval Turkish attacks and keep all invaders ashore. The triangular shape and 32 resident solid-cannon guns made it an impressive form of defense.
In fact, it seemed so ominous and impenetrable that no one even tried to test it. The very appearance and reputation were enough to deter all potential attackers from luring their fate. Despite its lack of action, the army continued to maintain the fort for centuries until they eventually left it in 1979.
Now only city explorers are infiltrating the striking structure. Most of them go in through the country, even though those who have access to the ship can try their hand as they walk toward the sea. The surprisingly airy interior of the fortress is remarkably well-preserved, so you can easily imagine that you are also a member of one of the various armies that have used their walls for many centuries.
Knowing before you go The fortress is accessible by foot from Sv. Nikola beach. You will need your own transport to get to the beach. Visiting the fort is at your own risk. There is one entrance from the ground and one entrance from the sea.
The fortress is far away and not easy. If you go with the bike, it will be easier. It is fascinating to see what kind of fortress is practically visible, you have to go through one island to get to the island from which you get to the fortress.
The path along the coast and the footbridge across the bay to the islet is really beautiful. The fortress is really great and impressive. The only minus is that the trail is not built to the fortress. The fortress itself can only be reached after a truly poor-looking, 4-meter-high footbridge that does not look safe at all. Otherwise, a really nice walk.
Šibenik
a visit to the town of Šibeník, which belongs to the picturesque towns of the Adriatic coast. From the Middle Ages, a well-fortified city with massive walls from the mainland and islands protected by the sea. The fortifications were reinforced by three fortresses that you can visit today. You can also see St. Vitus Cathedral. Jakov (St. James of Czech), which is built of stone, and the peculiarity is that it was built without binding materials. St. James's Cathedral is one of the most important sacral monuments in central Dalmatia and has been listed on the UNESCA since 2000. The viewpoint of St. Anna, from which there is a beautiful view of the panorama of the Krka estuary and Sibenik. The historic town and harbor of Sibenik in northern Dalmatia lies around the rugged and picturesque Sibenik Gulf, where one of the most beautiful karst rivers of the Krka River opens. With the open sea, Sibenik connects the narrow and deep St. Antonín (Kanal svetog Ante), a cycling trail leads through the fabulous nature. In Sibenik, the climate is very favorable: it is characterized by many hours of sunshine (2710 per year), summer is usually dry, with higher temperatures, cooled by a pleasant sea breeze.
It represents the administrative, economic, social and cultural center of the entire Sibenik-Mustard region. It is an important transport hub: a road junction, a key rail connection, and a ferry port and boat transport. There are many important monuments, including the extremely valuable Cathedral of Sts. Jakub, which since 2000 belongs to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Sibenik presents itself as a place full of churches and fortresses. You can visit over 20 churches and 4 city fortresses (one on the coast and three on the hill above the city). There are about 47,500 inhabitants living on agriculture and working in light industry centered on the outskirts of Sibenik. Šibenik was severely damaged by the aggression of the provincial Serbs in 1991-1992, but all the damage was long removed and Šibenik is a popular destination not only for Czech tourists.

Fun for the fiddles Aqua Park Solaris
The beach complex, which is surrounded by a holiday complex, is lined with a four-kilometer beach. It is partly pebble, sand has been brought to some places and concrete piers are the rest. Some people prefer swimming pools, but most of the visitors come because of the sea. For those who don't just want to bathe, sunbathe and walk along the shore, one of the most popular attractions - a floating castle - is available. It is inflatable, anchored about 30 meters from the shore. It is similar to bouncy castles, with which our secular people travel around pilgrimages, but it is much bigger and man is more excited about it. Waterless skiing, scooters, parasailing and windsurfing are also available. You can borrow an inflatable kayak or paddleboard, which is a windsurf-like board that is also standing up, but is set in motion with a long paddle.
In addition, there is a lazy river, a mysterious cave, a hot tub and other attractions. There is a proverb about money and music in a somewhat altered form in the aquapark.
The Solaris complex is, as has been said, about six kilometers from Sibenik. If you have a car, it is not a problem, it is worse for those who do not have their own carriage and have not paid for their diet. They are all dependent on shopping in the area or on local restaurants.
Aquapak Solaris is the first thematic water park in Croatia. Aquapark is part of the hotel of the same name, camp and yacht marina. It is located in the family-run resort next to the Solaris Hotel Andrija and Solaris Hotels Jakov.
The 7.800m² aquapark is built in pirate style and offers you 6 different slides and water slides when the highest one starts at 13.5 meters.
In addition to a variety of water attractions, there is also a relaxing lazy river ride. In the aquapark, they also thought of the smallest visitors, who will find wasted swimming pools with safe scooters and many attractions including an artificial cave, which is decorated with a number of interesting sea figures.

Krka
is a national park in Croatia renowned in 1985 and named after the river Krka. The park is located in the central part of Dalmatia in the Sibenik-Knin County near the town of Sibenik. Krka National Park is famous for its numerous waterfalls and colorful lakes. The national park area is 109 km². The most beautiful part is called the Skradinski Buk cascades. Entry to this national park is paid.
Skradinski buk waterfalls or the Skradin Waterfalls are the longest and most visited waterfall cascade on the Krka River in Krka National Park and one of Croatia's most famous natural beauties. Waterfalls are formed by limestone barriers, islets and ponds. They are open all year thanks to trails and footbridges. They are 17 degrees with a total height of 45.7 meters. Overall, these waterfalls are approximately 140 meters wide and 800 meters long. The trail around the Skradinski buk waterfall (1900 m) within an hour of easy walking through the bridges over the limestone barriers offers visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the river Krka, the peculiarities of the life symbiosis of limestone barriers and water biotypes.
There are remnants of the former Krka Hydroelectric Power Station on Skradinský Beech, which started in 1895, only two days after the Tesla Hydroelectric Power Station in Niagara Falls. Thanks to builders, Mayor Ante Šupuk and engineer Vjekoslav Meischner, Šibenik gained electricity sooner than many European cities.

Prižba archaeological
site - dual basilica
The archaeological site of Prižba - Srima was uncovered
between 1969 and 1974 under the leadership of Mr. Zlatek Gunjac, and then
preservation work followed. Two single-aisled basilicas were built here at
various times. That is why we call them basicaica geminatae or "church
twins" - double churches. The reason and purpose of these constructions
has not been fully clarified to this day. One theory says that basilicae
geminatae is the union of congregational churches dedicated to the service of
God and the relics of the church dedicated to relics.
There are many such examples in the Roman province of
Dalmatia, as well as in the whole Mediterranean region. They were built in the
city's episcopal centers, and more often in rural areas like Srima. In the
region of Dalmatia, these two dual basilicas (Srima - Prižba) are also the most
complete and explored. Although the views on the time of their construction are
not uniform, the one that ranked the time of the formation of the dual
basilicas into the 6th century predominates. This is confirmed by the stylistic
analysis of stone equipment, assuming that some inventory changes occurred in
the seventh century. The north church is older and the south is connected a
little later.
Both churches were interconnected via a diaconikon (a
lateral space at the apocalypse of the Old Christian and Greek churches
dedicated to the Deacon) and nartex (a covered rectangular vestibule in the old
Christian basilica), with graves inside. Other graves were discovered at
churches, to the east of the apse (a semicircular niche with a conch intended
for statues of deities or celebrities). A total of eight of them were uncovered
and are mostly masonry, with entrances, benches and an ossuary. Altars with
ciboria (altar canopy) are located in the central part of the shrine. Thanks to
the discovered fragments, both altar fences are reconstructed with the
corresponding pilasters (semi-columns), as well as ciborium and altar mens
(altar table). In the Babtisterium, there is still a circular fountain that was
covered by an older cross piscina (baptismal pool). Remnants of mortar
flooring, consisting of a mixture of lime and gravel mixed with crushed bricks,
have been found in several places. Due to the established practice of these
constructions, the roof was certainly made of beams and laths, on which burnt
brick slabs were laid in two layers (lower - tegula, where one layer of tiles
is laid and the upper - imbrex, which covers the gaps between the tiles in the
lower layer). ), while the apsids were terminated with a semi-domes of
travertine blocks with the aforementioned two-layer coating. In order to make
the church's spaces more impressive, the folded roof of the church had a series
of bifor windows that brought daylight to richly decorated ceilings with floral
and geometric motifs in technology and frescoes in warm colors.
Bridge of Sibenik
This famous bridge over the Sibenik Bay on the Adriatic
Highway (4 km northwest of Sibenik), the second largest of its kind in Croatia,
has long been in need of redevelopment. He is 44 years old - he was built from
1964 to 1966, when it was launched. Thanks to its close surroundings it is
considered one of the most attractive bridges in Europe. The picturesque canyon
of the Krka estuary and the impressive panorama of Šibenik are within sight.
The Sibenik Bridge is built of reinforced concrete, 40
meters high and 390 meters long. Thanks to its convenient position it does not
have to be closed even with strong winds, be it bura or yugo (see article:
Dangerous boron - areas of greatest danger). Its arc span is 246 meters.
The bridge is called the "hero" of the Patriotic
War. In the fall of 1991 he was hit by several Serbian shells, but despite the
damage he suffered, the traffic was never interrupted. Fighting between
Sibenik's defenders of the bridge and Yugoslav, Serbs controlled by the army and
armed Serbian nationalists was in his immediate vicinity.
Tourists like to stop at the rest area on the west side of
the bridge, where there is a rest house and a large parking lot, and enjoy the
beautiful view from the panoramic terrace. In recent years, the bridge has
become a popular bungee-jumping site.

a village in Tisno on the island of Murter in Dalmatia, Croatia, in the
Sibenik-Knin County. In 2011 there were 886 inhabitants in the village. It is
one of the few places in Croatia where the population is growing. The
settlement is located in the southeast of the island of Murter, in a bay
protected from the strong wind and extends inland to the bay of Lovišća. The
first written mention of the village is from 1298. The first settlers lured a
well-hidden bay. The name of the Lake is a large pool of water that is formed
in the valley after the rain during autumn and winter and looks like real
lakes. The soil in the neighborhood is barren, the inhabitants have been
fishing. The village still has the appearance of a typical Dalmatian fishing
village.

Pirovac
is a coastal village in Croatia, 26 km
from Šibenik. The first historical mention of Pirovac dates back to 1298 - at
that time still under the name of "Zosela". At that time, Opčina
belonged to the noblemen of Bribir - the Šubić family - later became the
property of the Diocese of Šibenik. The mansion itself was founded in the 15th
century by refugees who fled the Turks. However, this area has been inhabited
many centuries earlier because of the remains of the Roman Empire found on the
island of Sveti Stjepan. The defense wall, built around 1505 by Petar Draganić,
is still partially preserved in the village today. Parish Church of Sts. Jiří
from 1506 was restored to the Baroque style in the 18th century. The cemetery
chapel of the Draganić and Vrančić family contains a relief sarcophagus,
created in 1447, by Andrija Budčić of Šibenik and Lorenzo Pincino of Venice.
Roman artifacts were also found in front of the village on the island of Sveti
Stjepan. There are also the ruins of the Franciscan Monastery of 1511, which
was destroyed in 1807.
